Ocala, Florida, USA

I live in a small town in North Central Florida, named Ocala......
Ocala is small enough to have one major mall and I-75 skirts the West side of town. We have almost everything here and Orlando and Tampa are easy access, being only about 1 1/2 hours drive to each for major shopping and large airports.

Ocala is very proud of their downtown after a major renovation and upgrade of the downtown square, gazebo and park. The Ocala and Marion county area is know for its rolling hills, large spreading oaks with the spanish moss draping them and framing the beautiful horse farms. There are many thoroughbred horse farms here that have trained and/or bred a number of top winning race horses.

I must mention three main attractions in the area, our own Silver Springs a natural artisian spring that boils up from the underground caves in the area. Silver Springs has glass bottom boat rides and nature everywhere. They also have special event music concerts during the year..they even have giraffes Susan!

Two other main attractions are DisneyWorld 1/1/2 hours to the South and Daytona Beach only an hour East of Ocala.

So you can see why.......

I LOVE OCALA
